RALEIGH, N.C. (March 27, 2013) – Last Thursday, N.C. State University Dining in conjunction with Coca-Cola awarded Gracie Flanagan an all-expenses-paid “Final Four Getaway” trip to Atlanta compliments of Coca-Cola. Flanagan is a junior studying history at N.C. State, and won her trip after competing in a contest on University Dining’s Facebook page.

To participate in the contest, N.C. State students uploaded photos to University Dining’s Facebook page, along with short reasons why they should win the trip. Students then had to encourage their friends to
vote for the entries, with the top eight vote-getters progressing on to the final round—a contest in the N.C. State Brickyard. With 180 votes, Flanagan was one of those top eight.

In the final round, students competed for the Final Four trip, along with other prizes, ranging from a Coca-Cola refrigerator to a $100 credit to their AllCampus account. Flanagan said she was “shocked” when
she found out she had won the trip.

“I didn’t really have many thoughts other than ‘you’ve got to be kidding me!’” Flanagan said.

Flanagan was motivated to compete in the contest after seeing a promotion on her Facebook News Feed.

“There was hope that N.C. State would go far in the tournament, and the thought of getting to see them potentially win a championship seemed invaluable,” said Flanagan.

Though N.C. State won’t be making an appearance, Flanagan is still excited for her trip. She plans take her dad and try and visit the aquarium, Coca-Cola’s plant and CNN. And of course, watch some basketball.
